While VISION views peace with the other native peoples of the Semitic region to be a still unfulfilled goal of our people’s revolution, on par with ingathering exiles and reviving the Hebrew language, we recognize that the two-state model being aggressively promoted for the past 30 years has not and cannot succeed, as it negates the authentic aspirations of both Jews and Palestinians and has only resulted in several new injustices for both peoples.
While recognizing that the top-down political solutions of the last three decades have only exacerbated our conflict and brought both sides further from genuine peace, we must begin to develop fresh ideas on how a Jewish state should treat non-Jewish populations, taking into consideration that our people has a clear moral obligation to all of the inhabitants of our land – especially to the stranger who dwells among us.
The VISION alliance supports grassroots engagement efforts to cultivate better relations between Jews and Palestinians, based on mutual understanding and respect for identities, grievances and aspirations. We plan to work within the World Zionist Organization to direct funds towards those grassroots efforts truly making an impact on the ground and away from the foreign-funded “peace industry” NGOs merely serving the political agendas of their donors.
